| Notios |
17.50 |
| Notios (the Southerner) originates from low-yield Agiorgitiko (St George) grapes of the hills surrounding Nemea in the Peloponnese. This is an ultra modern wine with a velvet carpet of red berries and cherries and a cut of fresh acidity. Deeply coloured and deeply scented. A young wine with tones that are reminiscent of blackberries and their violet hue. Discernible are the intense aromas that typify the Agiorgitiko, that is sour cherry, but whose exceptional maturing of the grapes has led to a high alcohol content and reminds us of sour cherries in alcohol. Passage through the cask has enriched it with a discreet woody scent. A low tannin content underscores its rich, well structured, velvety body. |
